A Sunny Start to 2015

The summer continues to be amazing. Day upon day of glorious sunshine. We spent New Years with Sarah and James and their boys Benji and Jeremy.
There's been a bit of farm work to do. Calf marking went smoothly with so many hands on deck. Ezra was a proficient supervisor. He seemed fascinated walking among the sheep and cows in the stroller.
We have introduced Ezra to solid foods! He started with a few nibbles of some beautiful roast lamb. He really likes avocado and has now also enjoyed kumara (NZ sweet potato) and pumpkin. He's taken to food like a natural; we're not surprised.
We are now back on the farm after spending a gorgeous week in Wanaka. We spent time catching up with friend Teresa and her family of 4 beautiful kids. Lots of lake time swimming and enjoying motorized water sports. Matt impressed everyone by getting up on the water skis his first attempt after 5 years! Ezra also had a swim in the lake. It took a bit of getting used to the cool water, but we spent quite a while bouncing and splashing away.
The next big thing is the arrival of Sarah's parents on Tuesday. We will spend a week together on the farm before they begin journeying north. We've got lots of of fun planned including some wine tasting (famous Central Otago Pinot Noir), visiting an albatross nesting colony, fishing, swimming... you get the idea.
Hope you are all well!
Love,
Sarah, Matt & Ezra
